FDL-Area Teens Face Felony Charges in Dodge County Court

Two teenage boys from the Fond du Lac area are facing felony charges after they allegedly stole a vehicle from Beaver Dam, and wrecked another stolen vehicle after driving it into Beaver Dam Lake.

18-year-old Tyler Rodgers from Fond du Lac and 17-year-old Kaden Solano of North Fond du Lac appeared in Dodge County Court on Monday. Rodgers and Solano each face felony charge of driving or operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent. In addition, Solano is charged with a felony for attempting to flee or elude an officer and a misdemeanor charge of bail jumping.

Reports say Waupun Police pulled over a Dodge Ram pickup truck Saturday night after getting a report that the truck had been stolen from Beaver Dam on Friday morning. Everyone inside had ran from the scene, but Police eventually caught up with the suspects, including Rodgers and Solano. Both suspects eventually admitted to stealing the truck, and another vehicle – a Ford Escape – which was taken from Fond du Lac and found in Beaver Dam Lake on Friday morning.

Online court records show Rodgers was placed on a $500 cash bond and is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on October 24th. Solano was placed on a $3,000 cash bond, and will return to court for a preliminary hearing on September 19th. Both are not allowed to operate a motor vehicle without the permission of the court.
