An inmate from the John Burke Correctional Center in Waupun is back in custody after he reportedly failed to pick up workers from another facility, and abandoned the transport van in Fond du LacAccording to call logs, City of Fond du Lac Police were notified just after 1:30 Saturday afternoon that 35-year-old inmate Joshua Bonin was scheduled to pick up workers from the Taycheedah Correctional Institution but had not yet arrived. The Department of Corrections told officers that Bonin had left the Waupun facility just before 12:30 pm, and that GPS was showing the van located at the Wal Mart parking lot in Fond du Lac. Call logs show that Bonin was eventually found at the BP gas station on Rolling Meadows Drive just after 4:15 Saturday afternoon. Officers also discovered Bonin had stolen items from Wal Mart in his possession. Information on additional charges for Bonin was not made available.
