WIAA Playoffs - Round 3:

Division 1:

Fond du Lac 33, Sun Prairie 7

--Eben Sauer ran for two touchdowns, including an 83 yard score on the second play of the game, and the Fondy defense forced four turnovers as the Cardinals defeated Sun Prairie at Fruth Field Friday night. Sam Hernandez had two interceptions to lead the defense, including a pick-six in the first half. Fondy advances to the state semifinals for the first time since 1987 witn the win.

Kimberly 38, Bay Port 20

--Fondy and Kimberly will face off at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh on Friday.

Muskego 20, Franklin 3

Marquette 34, Racine Horlick 13

--Muskego and Marquette will do battle in the other state semifinal

Division 5:

St. Mary’s Springs 12, Amherst 0

--Mitch Waechter ran for a score and threw for another in a defensive battle at Lomira High School. The Ledgers advance to the state semifinals next week to face Lake Country Lutheran.

Lake Country Lutheran 47, Horicon/Hustisford 15

--St. Mary’s Springs will play Lake Country Lutheran at West Bend on Friday

--Brad Davison scored 16 points, while Ethan Happ and Kahlil Iverson each had 13 in the win for the Badgers at the Kohl Center. Adam Fravert had 20 to lead Oshkosh in the loss. Former Laconia athlete Brett Wittchow had 12 for the Titans.
