MIlwaukee returns home to face St. Louis Friday afternoon - Brett Anderson gets the start against Jack Flaherty for the Cardinals. First pitch is 1:10 pm.

 >>Brewers Recall Catcher Nottingham From Appleton

(Pittsburgh, PA) -- The Brewers called up catcher Jacob Nottingham Wednesday with Manny Pina battling a minor injury. Nottingham was recalled from the team's site in Appleton and relief pitcher Bobby Wahl was optioned there. Nottingham was already in Pittsburgh as part of the three-man taxi squad. Manager Craig Counsell said Pina took a foul tip off one of his catching fingers Tuesday and was pretty sore. Counsell said starter Josh Lindblom suffered back cramps Tuesday that force him out of the game in the fifth inning. Lindblom said it felt like he just had an ab workout and is doing fine.

 

>>Green Bay Packers Donate $125K Grants to Boys and Girls Clubs, Sherman Phoenix

(Green Bay, WI) -- The Green Bay Packers are donating a pair of 125-thousand-dollar grants to support social justice and racial equity. The team awarded the grants to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and Sherman Phoenix. This is the third year the Packers and their players have supported the ongoing effort to improve their communities through programs that work to effect change. The players have directed funds toward initiatives that reduce barriers to opportunity, through education and economic advancement, criminal justice reform and programs to improve police-community relations.

 

>>Longtime Illinois Basketball Coach Lou Henson Dies at Age 88

(Champaign, IL) -- Legendary University of Illinois basketball coach Lou Henson, known for wearing an orange blazer during games, is dead at age 88. Henson was laid to rest Wednesday during a private funeral. He led the Illini to 12 N-C-A-A Tournaments and had eleven 20-win seasons. Henson also won the Big Ten championship in 1984 and was instrumental in getting the 1989 team to the Final Four. The Oklahoma native ranks fifth all-time among Big Ten coaches in total wins and conference wins.
