MLB Scoreboard : Brewers Win Fifth Straight, But Lose Yelich for Season
National League:
Milwaukee 4, Miami 3
--Tyler Austin’s sacrifice fly and an error on Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro scored the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning as the Brewers won their fifth straight game. Hernan Perez hit a two-run home run, Yasmani Grandal hit a run-scoring double in the third inning in the win. Game three of the series is tonight - with Zach Davies starting for the Brewers against Pablo Lopez for the Marlins. Coverage starts at 5:35, first pitch at 6:10 on KFIZ.
Even with the win, it feels like a loss - as the Brewers will have to play the rest of the season without their MVP. Christian Yelich fouled a ball off his knee in the first inning, and was forced to leave the game. It was announced after the game that Yelich will miss the remainder of the season with a fractured kneecap. Yelich finishes the 2019 season with a .329 average, 44 home runs and 97 RBI.
