The Latest Sports Headlines:

>>Brewers Option 4 Players To Triple-A San Antonio

(Milwaukee, WI)  -- Even though most of Major League Baseball is at a standstill, the Brewers have made some roster moves.  Milwaukee has optioned four players to Triple-A San Antonio – Ryon Healy, Mark Mathias, Ronny Rodriguez and David Freitas. None of the four had shown much with the bat during spring training. A .566 O-P-S by Freitas was the best of the four and that’s not very strong. M-L-B and the players’ association have reached an agreement that everybody on the 40-man roster, plus players invited to spring training, are earning an 11-hundred dollar stipend for now.

>>Uncertain Future For NBA Season Hits Milwaukee Harder Than Some Teams

(Milwaukee, WI)  -- The Milwaukee Bucks have been impressive on the way to a 53-and-12 record, but recent stumbles have raised some questions. The interruption of the N-B-A season is stopping the Bucks from answering them. They’re big questions, but none bigger than whether the team is on the path to excellence that would lead superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo to spend the rest of his career in “Cream City.” If he turns down the super-max extension during the off-season, it would create an all-too-quick ending to what looks like a terrific future for the franchise. No team had higher hopes for the playoffs than the Bucks.

>>Badgers:  Another Way The COVID-19 Outbreak Has Changed Lives

(Madison, WI)  -- It would have been Selection Sunday.  Instead, Wisconsin basketball coach Greg Gard was pheasant hunting with his daughter Mackenzie Sunday. Gard’s brother and nephew joined them at a hunt club near Evansville, Wisconsin. Gard says he last met with his team last week after the Big Ten Tournament was canceled. He says we don’t know how things are going to unfold over the next four-to-six-to-eight weeks, but right now there are no team activities set before April 6th – and it’s highly possible they will be canceled as well.

>>Packers Cancel Tailgate Tour

(Green Bay, WI)  -- The Green Bay Packers have canceled their 15th annual Tailgate Tour to help prevent the community spread of COVID-19.  The tour included stops in La Crosse, Madison and Milwaukee between May 15th and May 17th. Packer officials say they are disappointed they had to make the difficult decision. They have promised that the nonprofit organizations who were going to benefit from the tour – Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics Wisconsin and Stars and Stripes Honor Flight – will be getting donations of 25-thousand dollars each from the Packers.
