The Latest Sports Headlines:

>>Ohio State Transfer Announces He’s Coming To Play For Marquette

(Milwaukee, WI)  -- A six-foot-two point guard who scored in double figures for Ohio State as a freshman has announced he’s transferring to Marquette. D-J Carton took a leave of absence from the Buckeyes in late January citing mental health issues, then said he was leaving the program last month. Carton could file for a waiver so he could play immediately, but he’s also said to be considering the pursuit of a professional career if he doesn’t get that waiver. Two players in the transfer protocol that the Golden Eagles had been pursuing – Jamarius Burton and Justin Turner – had just announced they wouldn’t be coming to Marquette.

>>Colleges:  There Will Be No College Football Until Students Are Allowed On Campus

(Undated)  -- Members of the College Football Playoff Management Committee have offered a clear message – there will be no college football until students are allowed on campus. The comment was made by Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby during a conference call which included Vice President Mike Pence.  Bowlsby said because the players are students, if college isn’t in session there will be no games. President Donald Trump has been in favor of sports restarting soon. The White House had asked for the conference call which was held Wednesday, 33 days after the N-C-A-A Basketball tournament was called off. One reason for the call was to differentiate college sports from the pros.

>>Transfer Makes It Final – She’ll Play Basketball For UW

(Madison, WI)  -- Former Edgewood High School basketball star Estella Moschkau will transfer to Wisconsin and play for the Badgers.  Moschkau will be eligible immediately with one year remaining in her college career. Earlier this year she announced she was leaving Stanford and entering the transfer protocol. She will be a graduate transfer after getting her degree from Stanford. The six-foot-one guard has played on Cardinal teams which won 82 games and made two runs to the Elite Eight as one of the most successful women’s basketball programs in the country.

>>Brewers Players Work To Stay Ready For Uncertain Start To Season

(Milwaukee, WI)  -- Major League Baseball players who were sent home from spring training aren’t just sitting around waiting to hear when they can get back on the field. Relief pitcher Ray Black says this is a different experience, not knowing when the season will start.  Black says the Milwaukee Brewers strength staff has done a good job giving the players workout plans. The hard-throwing right-hander is living on his family farm these days. He says he’s staying in shape by doing things like filling a backpack with books before wearing it in a workout.  Black says not having a target date for the return is challenging, but he’ll be ready.
